A little anniversery of MORIS CUP Jahodná

The traditional date in the month of June belongs to the competition in the East of the republic, one of  the youngest in Slovakia, but the one who has earned the credit of a quality and a compact competition. During the third year, this eastern competition had been classified in two FIA championshipss – FIA European Hill-Climb Cup 2013 (FIA ECC) and the FIA International Hill Climb Challenge 2013 (IHCC), and also in the Slovakia Championship. Last year, MORIS CUP JAHODNÁ became the candidate competition in the Historic Hill Climb Challenge (HHCC) and for the first time, it  was classified for GSMP.

During the 5th anniversary of MORIS CUP JAHODNÁ, we can look forward to a various starting field, which is going to try to earn points into the mentioned three FIA championshis ( FIA HHC, FIA IHCC, FIA ECC) and two national championships  - MSR (6th and 7th round) and GSMP ( 3rd and 4th round). Organisators limited the amount of entered cars to 120 – in regards of that, a new solution for the service parking is going to take place, two of them situated near the Recreation resort Jahodná and the third one located at the access road of the mentioned Jahodná resort.

The race is taking place near the city of Košice – at the 4750 m long track that has been used as a part of the special stage Jahodná (Bankov) of Rally Košice. The track leads on the stare road II/547, the starting point is set 750 meters past the turnoff to Alpinka, towards the city exit in the direction of Gelnica – Margecany, ahead of the Alpinka recreation centre. The finish line is located approximately 1 000 m before the turnoff to the Jahodná recreational-sport centre. The start is 399m above the sea level, the finish 538 meters above the sea level. The difference in altitude is 199 meters, minimal latitude 7 meters and the average ascending 4,18%.
