One of the oldest event in Slovakia is Rally Košice, which on 7. – 8. September will write its 38-th page of rich history.

Last year was already 40 years when was realised first event. It was exactly 8.May 1971 and on start were 28 cars. Since that time numbers of entries every years increased and we hope that year in metropolis of East Slovakia will meet at least hundred of competitors on the starting podium in the centre of the old town.

For these years chronicle of Rally Kosice was fact filled with numbers of attraction from shy first steps to today. History of these Rally have begun write already in 1970, when members of motoring fan club founded Automotoklub VSZ which was successor of MTO/ mototourist group /. After was born I. year of Rally Košice. After years and times we can say that it was test of regularity and reliability. On whole track was only 7.5 km lenght special stage. Next years and by change of regulations for these motosport event, changed also character of rally to its today's form.

38. Rally Košice which will be held this year will counts for FIA CEZ Rally Trophy, Platinum Championship of Poland, Hungarian Rally Championship and also for Slovak Rally Cup.

Event returned to its september´s date. Polish championship will be part of this event already for fourth times. After seven years this rally will be part of the Hungarian Championship (last times it visited Košice´s routes

In these days organiser from Autoklub Košice published the Supplementary regulation and crews can to send entry form for one top event of home season. Entry term with  with reduced entry fee is till 24.8.2012 and last term for entries is 27.8.2012.

Rally Košice is one of the most important event in Slovakia and in our east metropolis. Its tradition is in narrow contact with popularization of motosport in Slovakia, as evidenced by big interest of fans those we will meet around the special stages.
Organiser from Autoklub Košice prepared for this year event track  with total lenght 548 km,13 SS (with total distence 164 km). Event contents 2 legs and 4 sections.
