For several years is the Rally Košice most important motorsport event in Slovakia and especially in the metropolis of the East Slovakia - in Košice. Its tradition is closely associated with the popularization of motorsport in Slovakia, as evidenced by the significant interest of fans, where we meet around the lines of special stages.

One of the oldest competitions in our home is just Rally Košice, which in the new period from 13 - 15 October compared with September last year has entered its 37-page it's rich history. During more than three decades to chronicle Košice Rally properly filled and boasts many attractions from their first shy steps until today. During the passed several difficulties, but the fans and supporters have left it a long rest. History of the rally began already in 1970, when a bunch of car enthusiasts founded Automotoklub VSZ, which was the successor to MTO (motor tourist section) and then saw the light and I Kosice year rally. Exactly 8th May 1971 (40 years ago ) 28 crews started from all over Slovakia on the route with total distence of 145 km, which was the first test frequency and reliability, because the entire route was the only one, 7.5 km long special stage. With advancing years and changing the rules for the motorsport discipline was changing course and nature of the rally today.

Slovak championship DMACK Tyres Rally 2011 will culminate in a city just east during the 37th Rally Košice on 13 - 15 October 2011. The competition will be like last year included a series of zones in Central Europe - FIA CEZ Trophy Rally Championship Platinum and in Poland in the rally. After the third time the event is an integral part of the Slovak Rally Championship. It remains to us to add that two-day competition Rally Košice will separately evaluate each day into the Slovak championship and also to the SRP, with the 37th overall assessment Rally Košice will be included only crew to complete the two day competition.
The organizers of the Auto Club Košice prepared this year for riders with a total track length of 538 km, of which 10 speed tests will form the 152 km. The competition consists of two stages and four sections.
